Antique Converted Bronze Lantern with Base. This is an old street light lantern that was converted into a table lamp, where the base was added. Converted originally from oil to electric and then converted into a lamp. Features include dome top, chimney, ring for hanging, and a two prong cord (12' long) with electrical switch, all in working order. Even the original lantern was likely handmade as there is no name on it. 3 bulb candelabra, glass will be removed for secure packaging.

A true piece of antique metalwork! Acquired from estate of WWII Air Force pilot who commissioned the conversion of the the lantern into a lamp in the 1960's.

One pane of glass does have a crack in it but doesn’t not impede the functionality and can be easily replaced.

Period: Late 19th Century

Condition: Moderate wear and tear, but still has good years left. One piece of glass is cracked but can easily be replaced. Does not take away from the overall integrity of the piece
